Canossa Jubilee Grand Finale

8th Dec. 2018, A great day for Canossa at as it was the end of the Jubilee year. The grand celebration began with great pomp as it was the finale, culmination of the whole year. It was presided by the Chief guest Rev. Bishop Percival Fernandes, guest of honour Mrs. Ruta Wankade along with our Provincial Sr. Jose Mary Keelath and her team of councilors, our manager. Sr. Margret Sequeira, other principals and dignitaries.

The programme started solemnly with the guard of Honour, Lighting of the Samai and the Jubilee Anthem. A prayer dance was performed invoking God’s blessings. The award winning Band displayed their talent proudly. All the dignitanes and everybody were welcomed formally along with the welcome song where the children expressed their joy in song. The jubilee magazine was then released. The Chief Guest spoke laurels of the school. Then the cultural programme began. A film strip was shown to the crowd on the founderes St. Magdalene of Canossa and her vision. A number of dances were performed by the K.G section, Primary section, the Retro song by the Secondary section, P.T.A performance and the Ex. Students performance too. A Film presentation was shown on the different programmes held during the whole Jubilee year 2018. This followed by dances of most states i.e. Contemporary, Gaon, Tamilian, Assamese, Bengali, Koli, Gujrati, Kashmiri, Punjabi by the Secondary section. This made everyone feel at home in our secular Mumbai. Then the Vote of thanks was given and the Grand Finale was the culmination of the whole programme. It ended with the retreat of the Jubilee Flag and the NationalAnthem.

10th December 2018, in gratitude for the blessings received throughout the year Canossa High School, Andheri had a Concelebrated mass. The main celebrant was Reverend Bishop Bathol. It was solemn and it brought peace and transquility to all being the culmination of the 50th Jubilee Celebrations. Everybody was content and happy and at peace.
