Canossa Sports Fest
Canossa School Andheri celebrates its Golden Jubilee this year . To mark this milestone, the school has organised various activities for every month of the year. This month of June we have just completed the Canossa Sports Fest. We were happy that all canossian schools in province of St. Francis Xavier took active part in this fest. We have students from seven canossian schools i.e., Belgaum , Dhule, Mahim ,Vasai and Andheri Who participated in this fest Tournaments in badminton, carrom, chess, basketball ,Kho-Kho and football were organised. Around 165 students participated who were accompanied by their respective teachers and coaches. Dr. Suzan Soares inaugurated the Opening Ceremony on 17th June.
The Finals of these matches basketball and football were held today at Dominic Savio school Ground. The games were played in a Spirit of competition where no one was ready to give up easily and yet we could see the shining example of friendship springing up between different schools.
The ‘Award Ceremony’ was on 18th June 2018. The Chief Guest was Mr. Mervyn Fernandis a Olympic player an Gold Medalist in Hokey.
The Championship Trophy is won by St. Joseph Canossa School ,Belgaum.
