St. Magdalene’s Day
St. Magdalene’s Day which is observed on 1st March each year, was celebrated on 28th February, 2025, at Canossa High School. The celebration commenced with a prayer service, invoking blessings and reflecting on St. Magdalene’s teachings. This was followed by an inspiring video presentation that shed light on her life. A thought-provoking skit was performed by the students, portraying the values of St. Magdalene and emphasizing the importance of selfless service. There was also a prize and scholarship distribution, recognizing the achievements of students in various fields. Our principal, Sr. Margaret Sequeira, addressed the gathering, encouraging students to embody the spirit of St. Magdalene in their daily lives. The celebration concluded with the singing of the school anthem.
The National Science Day was also celebrated on the same day. Some students spoke about its significance and the reason behind its observance. A video highlighting Science Day was shown, followed by a dance performance by a few students. Additionally, one student delivered a monologue on the importance of Science Day in relation to trees.
